The COOPER CROUSE-HINDS 935 is an insulated plastic conduit bushing designed to protect wire insulation at conduit terminations. It threads onto the end of rigid metal conduit or intermediate metal conduit (IMC) where the conduit enters an enclosure, panel, or junction box. The smooth interior bushing surface and insulated construction prevent abrasion damage to conductors at entry points. Rated for non-hazardous area applications, this bushing is a standard hardware item used by licensed electricians on commercial and residential installations wherever a 1-1/2 inch trade size threaded conduit termination requires a protective fitting.
This bushing is suited for use with rigid metal conduit and IMC in non-hazardous indoor and outdoor installations. Electricians install it at panelboards, motor control centers, pull boxes, and enclosures where conduit enters a knockout. The threaded connection ensures a secure, vibration-resistant fit at the conduit end. Its plastic construction is lightweight and provides an insulating barrier between the conduit end and the conductors passing through.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard conduit fitting for 1-1/2 inch trade size rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit (IMC) terminations in non-hazardous locations.
Licensed electricians install conduit bushings in accordance with NEC requirements for protecting conductors at conduit terminations. De-energize and lock out the circuit and panel before beginning any conduit termination work. Thread the bushing onto the conduit end by hand and tighten with an appropriate strap wrench or conduit bushing tool, taking care not to crack the plastic body. Inspect the bushing after installation to confirm the smooth interior surface faces inward and fully covers the conduit edge before pulling wire.
