The COOPER BUSSMANN FNQ-R-1-1/8 is a Class CC time delay cartridge fuse rated at 1.13 amps for general-purpose overcurrent protection in low-amperage control circuits. It features a rejection setting that prevents substitution with non-CC class fuses, which is critical for maintaining system integrity in branch circuit and control panel applications. The fuse body measures 10.30 mm in diameter and 38.10 mm in overall length, fitting standard CC fuse holders. Licensed electricians and controls technicians install this fuse in HVAC control circuits, motor control centers, and panel boards where time delay characteristics are required to ride through inrush currents without nuisance tripping.
This fuse is suited for residential and light commercial applications where Class CC fuse holders are installed. It is commonly found in HVAC equipment control circuits, transformer secondary protection, and small motor branch circuits. The time delay rating allows the fuse to withstand brief current surges typical of motor starting and transformer inrush without opening, while still providing reliable protection against sustained overloads and short circuits. The rejection feature ensures only properly rated Class CC fuses can be installed in a designated Class CC holder.
Designed for use with standard Class CC fuse holders. The rejection feature limits installation to CC-rated holders only, ensuring proper circuit protection in HVAC control panels, motor control centers, and branch circuit applications requiring Class CC fusing.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the NEC and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing fuses. Verify the fuse holder is rated for Class CC cartridge fuses before installation. Do not attempt to substitute a different fuse class in a Class CC rejection holder.
