The COOPER BUSSMANN ECNR15 is a time-delay, current-limiting, dual-element fuse rated for 15 amps at 250 volts AC and 125 volts DC. It carries a Class RK5 rating and delivers 200 kAIC interrupting capacity, making it suitable for circuits that require high fault-current protection. The dual-element design provides superior overload and cycling tolerance, holding through motor inrush and temporary overloads without nuisance opening while still responding quickly to short-circuit faults. Electricians and maintenance technicians install this fuse in fusible disconnect switches, panelboards, and motor-branch-circuit protection applications.
This fuse is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical systems where Class RK5 time-delay protection is required. Its ferrule-end construction fits standard Class R fuseholders rated for 250-volt service. The 8-second time-delay at 500 percent of rated current makes it well suited for motor circuits, transformer primaries, and other loads with high inrush demands. It is a non-indicating fuse, meaning no visual blown indicator is present.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for Class RK5 time-delay dual-element fuses in 250-volt fusible disconnect switches and branch-circuit fuseholders accepting ferrule-end fuses.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit using appropriate LOTO procedures before removing or inserting any fuse. Verify that the fuseholder is rated for Class R rejection to maintain the Class RK5 listing. Confirm that the replacement fuse amperage, voltage rating, and interrupting rating meet or exceed the circuit requirements before energizing.
