The COOPER BUSSMANN BP/T-30 is a Type T time-delay plug fuse rated at 30 amps, sold in a 2-pack carded format. Designed for residential electrical panels and fusible disconnect boxes, this Fusetron-style fuse provides reliable overcurrent protection with a built-in time-delay element that tolerates short-duration inrush currents without nuisance blowing. The time-delay characteristic makes it well suited for motor and appliance circuits where startup surge is expected. Licensed electricians and experienced service technicians install this fuse in applications where a Type T rejection-base fuse is specified by the panel or disconnect manufacturer.
The BP/T-30 is appropriate for use in residential service panels, fused disconnects, and branch circuit overcurrent protection applications where a 30-amp Type T plug fuse is required. Common installations include circuits serving water heaters, air conditioners, dryers, and other high-draw residential appliances. The carded 2-pack format is convenient for service trucks and supply-house stocking. This fuse complies with the screw-in plug fuse format standard for Type T rejection bases.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard Type T rejection-base plug fuse applications in residential electrical panels and fused disconnect devices.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Always shut off the main disconnect and verify the circuit is de-energized with a non-contact voltage tester before removing or installing any fuse. Confirm the fuseholder accepts a Type T rejection-base fuse before installation, as Type T and standard Edison-base fuses are not interchangeable. Never replace a fuse with a higher amperage rating than the circuit is designed for.
