The COOPER BUSSMANN BP/FRN-R-30ID is a 30-amp, 250-volt indicating fuse rated for Class RK5 service. It uses a dual-element, time-delay design that tolerates motor inrush current while still providing current-limiting protection against sustained overloads and short circuits. A key field feature is the indicating label: if the fuse opens, the label darkens, giving technicians a fast visual confirmation of fuse status without removing the fuse or using a meter. This pack contains two fuses and is suitable for use by licensed electricians and qualified maintenance personnel working on commercial and industrial electrical systems.
These fuses are suited for AC power distribution applications including service mains, feeders, and branch circuits. The dual-element time-delay characteristic makes them appropriate for motor branch circuits where inrush current would nuisance-trip a standard fuse. They also serve transformer and other inductive load circuits, as well as lighting and heating loads. The carded two-pack format is intended for service and replacement work where a spare on hand is standard practice.
Designed for use in AC power distribution system mains, feeders, branch circuits, motor branch circuits, transformer and inductive load circuits, and lighting and heating non-inductive load circuits requiring a Class RK5 time-delay fuse rated 30A at 250V.
Installation and replacement of current-limiting fuses must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit at the disconnect or panel before handling any fuse or fuseholder. Verify the replacement fuse ampere rating, voltage rating, and class match the fuseholder and circuit requirements before installing. Never substitute a higher-ampere or different-class fuse to restore service.
