The COOPER BUSSMANN AGC-6-R is a glass-body cartridge fuse rated at 6 amps with a fast-acting response characteristic. It measures 1.25 inches in overall length and 0.25 inches in diameter, fitting the standard AGC footprint found across a wide range of control circuits, instrumentation panels, and low-voltage equipment. The fast-acting design provides immediate overcurrent interruption, protecting sensitive downstream components from sustained fault current. With an interrupting rating of 10,000 amps at 125 volts and 200 amps at 250 volts, it is suitable for both signal-level and light power circuits. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and electronics service professionals commonly use this fuse in control boards, meters, and auxiliary equipment.
This fuse is used in residential and commercial applications wherever a glass AGC cartridge fuse is specified. Typical installations include HVAC control panels, low-voltage accessory circuits, test instruments, appliance control boards, and industrial equipment requiring fast overcurrent protection. The 6-amp rating positions it for light-duty control and instrumentation circuits rather than high-current load circuits. Its compact size and industry-standard dimensions make it a direct drop-in for any holder or fuse block designed for the AGC form factor. RoHS-compliant construction supports use in environmentally regulated installations and exported equipment.
Designed as a direct replacement for any AGC-series cartridge fuse holder or fuse block accepting a 1.25-inch by 0.25-inch fast-acting glass fuse.
Power down and de-energize the circuit completely before replacing any fuse. Verify replacement fuse amperage and voltage rating match the original specification before insertion. Use an appropriate fuse puller when extracting cartridge fuses from spring-clip holders to avoid bending contacts or causing personal injury. Installation should comply with applicable NEC requirements for overcurrent protection in the circuit being serviced.
