The Control Devices M2525-1WA is a brass inline check valve designed to allow one-directional fluid or gas flow while preventing backflow in piping systems. It features male NPT connections on both ends (MNPT x MNPT) at 1/4 inch pipe size, a stainless steel spring, and a stainless steel seal. The valve has a crack pressure of 3.00 psi, a maximum operating temperature of 250 degrees F, and a minimum operating temperature of 33 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors install this type of valve in water, air, and refrigerant-adjacent piping applications where reverse flow protection is required.
This check valve is suited for use in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and fluid-handling systems where a compact, threaded inline check valve is needed. Its 1/4 inch MNPT x MNPT configuration makes it a practical choice for small-diameter pipe runs in supply, control, or instrument lines. The brass body construction offers durability in typical water and air service environments within its rated temperature range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement check valve for 1/4 inch NPT threaded piping systems in residential and commercial plumbing and HVAC applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified mechanical technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IAPMO or IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the supply line completely before removing the existing valve or fitting the new one. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads and hand-tighten before using a wrench to achieve a leak-free joint. Do not exceed the rated maximum temperature of 250 degrees F in service.
