The CONTROL DEVICES LH50-0LAAW is a zero air-loss, level sensing condensate drain designed for compressed air systems. Unlike timed or manual drains, this unit uses a level-sensing mechanism to discharge condensate only when liquid is present, eliminating the purge of live compressed air during each drain cycle. The result is measurable energy savings on systems where condensate management is a recurring cost. Rated for 40 to 200 psi operating pressure, it connects via 1/2 inch NPT inlet and outlet fittings. It is installed by licensed compressed air system technicians and industrial maintenance professionals.
This condensate drain is rated for use on compressed air systems up to 100 HP. It is appropriate for industrial and commercial installations where receiver tanks, air dryers, filters, and aftercoolers accumulate condensate that must be removed without venting compressed air to atmosphere. The zero air-loss design makes it well-suited for facilities running continuous or high-duty-cycle compressor operations where energy efficiency and system pressure stability are priorities.
Designed for use with compressed air systems up to 100 HP, including receiver tanks, refrigerated air dryers, coalescing filters, and aftercoolers requiring automatic condensate removal.
Installation should be performed by a qualified compressed air systems technician or industrial maintenance professional. Depressurize and isolate the system before connecting or disconnecting fittings. Use appropriate thread sealant on NPT connections and verify all fittings are rated for the operating pressure range of 40 to 200 psi. Follow applicable local codes and the manufacturer instructions for mounting orientation and drain line routing.
