The CONTROL DEVICES LH50-0LAAA is a zero air-loss, level-sensing condensate drain designed for compressed air systems. Unlike timed or manual drains, this unit uses a liquid-level sensor to open the drain valve only when condensate is present, preventing compressed air loss during discharge. It accepts a 1/2 inch NPT inlet and outlet connection and handles system pressures from 40 to 200 psi. Licensed contractors and compressed air system technicians install this drain on air receivers, drip legs, filters, and aftercoolers where moisture removal is required without wasting system pressure.
The LH50-0LAAA is suited for compressed air systems up to 100 HP in industrial and commercial applications. Typical installation points include the bottom ports of air receivers, refrigerated air dryers, coalescing filters, and compressed air distribution drip legs. The zero air-loss design makes it appropriate for systems where air efficiency and energy cost are concerns, such as production facilities, auto service shops, and large mechanical rooms requiring reliable condensate management.
Designed for use with compressed air systems up to 100 HP. Compatible with air receivers, aftercoolers, refrigerated dryers, and coalescing filter housings equipped with 1/2 inch NPT drain ports operating between 40 and 200 psi.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed pipefitter or compressed air systems technician. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air system completely before removing any existing drain or making new connections. Apply appropriate thread sealant to all NPT connections per the fitting manufacturer's instructions. Verify system operating pressure falls within the 40 to 200 psi rated range before returning the system to service.
