The CONTROL DEVICES BVM50P50-0AA is a 2-way manual ball valve designed for inline shutoff and flow-control applications in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial piping systems. Built with a brass body and a full-port design, it delivers minimal flow restriction when open. The lever handle allows quick quarter-turn operation for fast shutoff. Connections are male NPT inlet by female NPT outlet, making it compatible with standard threaded pipe assemblies. Seals are polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which provides chemical resistance and long service life. Rated to 600 psi maximum working pressure, this valve handles demanding system pressures found in commercial and residential installations.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and refrigeration piping where a reliable inline shutoff is required on 1/2-inch threaded pipe. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this type of valve at equipment isolation points, branch lines, and service access locations. Its brass construction makes it appropriate for water, air, and compatible fluid service lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ball valve for 1/2-inch NPT threaded pipe systems in plumbing and HVAC applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Depressurize and drain the system before removing or installing any inline valve. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope to male NPT threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as brass fittings are susceptible to cracking from excessive torque.
