The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20042683 is a fractional horsepower cogged V-belt designed for light-duty drive applications in HVAC equipment, small motors, and shop machinery. Built from high traction rubber, this 3L-section belt measures 15.0 inches outside length with a 14.30-inch internal length. The cogged construction reduces bending resistance, which improves flexibility on smaller-diameter sheaves and helps manage heat buildup during continuous operation. Rated for service from -40 degrees C up to 140 degrees C, this belt handles temperature swings common in rooftop units, air handlers, and similar equipment. Installation requires no special tools beyond a belt tension gauge.
This belt is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC blower drives, agricultural equipment, power tools, and small appliance drives that use 3L fractional horsepower sheaves. The 3L cross-section is a standard fractional horsepower profile used across a wide range of OEM and aftermarket drive configurations. It is commonly installed by HVAC technicians and maintenance mechanics performing belt replacement during scheduled preventive maintenance or emergency service calls.
Designed as a standard 3L-section fractional horsepower V-belt replacement. Belt number 3L150 is the industry-standard designation for this cross-section and length combination, compatible with any drive system specifying a 3L150 belt.
Belt replacement should be performed with the drive system fully de-energized and locked out per LOTO procedures. Loosen the motor mount to relieve tension before removing the worn belt; never force or roll a V-belt over sheave flanges, as this can damage the cord structure. After seating the new belt, set tension according to the equipment manufacturer's deflection specification and verify sheave alignment before returning the unit to service.
