The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20042074 is a Section B V-belt designed for industrial and commercial power transmission applications. Built from Wingprene rubber-impregnated fabric, this belt delivers resistance to heat, oil, and environmental exposure across a wide operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 284 degrees F (equivalent to -40 degrees C to 140 degrees C). The outside length measures 59 inches with an internal length of 57.80 inches. Designated as belt number B56, it fits the HY-T Matchmaker matched-belt system, which allows technicians to pair multiple belts on multi-groove drives with confidence in consistent length tolerances.
This V-belt is suited for use in HVAC systems, industrial blower drives, agricultural equipment, and general-purpose power transmission setups where Section B cross-section geometry is required. It is a common replacement belt for belt-driven fans, pumps, compressors, and similar rotating equipment in both residential and light commercial applications. The HY-T Matchmaker designation makes it especially appropriate for multi-belt drive systems where belt-to-belt length matching is critical to even load distribution.

Installation should be performed by a qualified technician following lockout/tagout procedures to de-energize all power to the drive system before belt replacement. Never roll or pry a V-belt onto a sheave under tension; always release drive tension fully before seating the belt, then adjust to the manufacturer-specified deflection range. After initial installation, re-tension the belt following a brief break-in period to compensate for initial stretch. Inspect sheave grooves for wear before installing a new belt to avoid premature failure.
