The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20042052 is a Section B V-belt designed for power transmission in HVAC, industrial, and mechanical drive applications. Constructed from Wingprene rubber-impregnated fabric, this belt delivers reliable torque transfer across a wide operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 284 degrees F. With an outside length of 37.0 inches and an internal length of 35.80 inches, it matches the B34 belt designation. The HY-T Matchmaker style ensures consistent cross-section geometry, making it suitable for matched-set installations on multi-groove sheave systems. This belt is installed by HVAC technicians, millwrights, and mechanical contractors.
This V-belt is used in belt-driven blower assemblies, fan drives, compressor drives, and general industrial power transmission systems. It is a direct replacement for standard B34-designation belts in residential and light commercial HVAC air handlers, rooftop units, and exhaust fan systems. The Wingprene rubber-impregnated fabric construction resists heat, oil, and ozone exposure common in mechanical equipment rooms and rooftop environments. The HY-T Matchmaker designation allows use in matched sets on dual or multi-belt drives where uniform length tolerances are required.
Designed as a direct replacement for standard B34 V-belts in belt-driven HVAC blower and fan drive applications, as well as general industrial power transmission systems using Section B sheave grooves.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical contractor. De-energize and lock out the equipment per LOTO procedures before removing or installing any drive belt. Never pry or force a belt over sheave flanges; adjust motor mounting to relieve tension before removal and after installation. Verify belt tension and sheave alignment after installation to prevent premature wear.
