The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20039633 is a BX-section cogged V-belt designed for demanding power transmission applications in HVAC, industrial, and agricultural equipment. Built with fiber-reinforced Vytracord construction, this Torque-Flex belt delivers reliable torque transfer with reduced heat buildup thanks to its cogged profile. The outside length measures 153 inches with an internal length of 151.80 inches. Its oil-resistant compound makes it suitable for environments where lubricant exposure is common. Weighing 1.8 pounds, this belt is a direct replacement for BX150-designated drives. Licensed tradespeople and equipment technicians install this belt on driven machinery requiring a cogged BX cross-section.
This belt fits BX-section drive configurations found in residential and light commercial HVAC blower assemblies, compressor drives, fan drives, pump drives, and general industrial machinery. It is rated for a maximum working temperature of 60 degrees C and a minimum working temperature of -40 degrees C, making it appropriate for both indoor mechanical rooms and outdoor or unheated equipment installations. The Torque-Flex cogged design reduces bending stress and allows operation on smaller-diameter sheaves compared to standard wrapped belts.
Designed as a direct OEM-style replacement for BX150-designated V-belt drives requiring a BX-section cogged belt with a 153-inch outside length. Verify sheave groove profile and center distance before installation.
Installation and tensioning of V-belts on driven equipment should be performed by qualified mechanical or HVAC technicians. Always disconnect and lock out power to the drive system before removing or installing belts. Adjust center distance to allow belt installation without forcing the belt over sheave flanges, then tension according to equipment manufacturer specifications. Inspect sheave grooves for wear, misalignment, or debris before installing a new belt.
