Built with fiber-reinforced Vytracord construction, this belt delivers high tensile strength and dimensional stability under load. The cogged profile reduces bending resistance and heat buildup, improving efficiency on smaller-diameter sheaves. It carries a 136-inch outside length (134.80-inch internal length) and is rated for operation from -40 degrees F to 140 degrees F, making it suitable for both outdoor and mechanical room installations. This belt corresponds to the standard industry belt number BX133.
This belt fits a wide range of belt-driven equipment including commercial and residential HVAC fan assemblies, blower drives, compressor drives, pump drives, and general industrial machinery requiring a BX-section cogged belt. It is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, millwrights, and mechanical contractors on variable-speed and fixed-speed drive systems where heat and oil exposure are factors. Belt replacement should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical contractor after de-energizing and locking out all power to the drive system per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Never pry or force a belt over sheave flanges; adjust the drive center distance to allow proper belt seating. After installation, check belt tension and alignment per the equipment manufacturer specifications before restoring power. Inspect sheaves for wear, misalignment, or damage and replace as needed to prevent premature belt failure.
