The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20039614 is a BX-section cogged V-belt designed for industrial and HVAC drive applications requiring reliable power transmission in variable-temperature environments. Built with Fiber-Reinforced Vytracord construction and a Torque-Flex cogged profile, this belt delivers reduced bending resistance and improved flexibility over standard wrapped belts. It carries an outside length of 106 inches and an internal length of 104.80 inches. The oil-resistant compound makes it suitable for environments where incidental lubricant contact is a concern. HVAC technicians, millwrights, and mechanical contractors install this belt on blower, fan, and compressor drive systems.
This belt is suited for residential and commercial HVAC air handler fan drives, industrial blower assemblies, and general power transmission applications where a BX-section cogged belt is specified. The cogged design allows use on smaller-diameter sheaves without sacrificing flex life. It performs across a wide temperature range, from -40 degrees F to approximately 140 degrees F, making it appropriate for both indoor mechanical rooms and outdoor equipment installations. Refer to the drive design specifications when selecting matching sheave groove profiles.
Designed as a direct replacement for BX103 belt applications using BX-section V-belt drives. Verify sheave groove profile and center distance before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical tradesperson following applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. De-energize and lock out all power to the drive unit before removing the old belt or installing the new one. Never force a belt onto a sheave with a pry bar, as this can damage the tensile cord. Adjust drive center distance to achieve proper belt tension per the equipment manufacturer's deflection specifications.
