The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20039610 is a BX-section cogged V-belt designed for demanding power transmission applications in HVAC, industrial, and mechanical drive systems. Built with Fiber-Reinforced Vytracord construction, this Torque-Flex belt delivers reliable grip and flexibility under variable load conditions. The cogged profile reduces bending resistance, which helps improve efficiency and reduce heat buildup on smaller sheaves. With a 100-inch outside length and an internal length of 98.80 inches, it matches the BX97 belt designation. Licensed HVAC technicians, millwrights, and mechanical contractors install this type of belt in blower drive systems, fan assemblies, and auxiliary equipment drives.
This belt is suited for residential and commercial HVAC blower systems, cooling tower fan drives, exhaust fans, and general-purpose industrial machinery that uses BX-section sheaves. The oil-resistant compound helps maintain belt integrity in mechanical rooms and equipment areas where minor fluid exposure is common. Its wide operating temperature range, from -40 degrees F to approximately 140 degrees F, makes it appropriate for both outdoor and indoor mechanical applications year-round. Installers replacing worn or cracked V-belts in air handlers, rooftop units, and belt-driven fan coils will find this a direct match for BX97-spec drives.
Direct replacement for BX97-designated belt drives using BX-section sheaves. Suitable for belt-driven HVAC blowers, fan assemblies, and general mechanical drive systems requiring a 100-inch outside length BX-section cogged belt.
Belt replacement should be performed by a qualified technician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the drive system before removing the old belt or adjusting sheave spacing. Do not force the belt over sheave flanges without releasing drive tension first, as this can damage the cord reinforcement. After installation, check belt tension and sheave alignment per the equipment manufacturer's specifications before returning the system to service.
