The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20039578 is a cogged BX-section V-belt designed for demanding power transmission applications in HVAC, industrial, and agricultural equipment. Built with Fiber-Reinforced Vytracord construction, this belt delivers high tensile strength and resistance to bending fatigue. The cogged profile reduces heat buildup and increases flexibility, making it well suited for smaller-diameter sheaves. It measures 68 inches in outside length with an internal length of 66.80 inches and carries an oil-resistant rating for use in environments where fluid exposure is a concern. Licensed HVAC technicians, millwrights, and mechanical contractors install this type of belt during routine drive system maintenance and equipment overhauls.
This belt is applied across a wide range of systems including blower drives, fan assemblies, compressor drives, and general-purpose power transmission setups found in both residential and commercial HVAC units as well as light industrial machinery. The Torque-Flex style construction allows the belt to run cooler and transmit torque efficiently even under variable load conditions. It is sold individually and carries the belt designation BX65. Working temperature range spans from -40 degrees C to 60 degrees C, broadening its usefulness in outdoor and refrigerated-space installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement BX-section cogged V-belt for blower, fan, and compressor drive systems requiring a BX65 designation belt with a 68-inch outside length.
Belt replacement should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical contractor following lockout/tagout procedures to de-energize all power to the drive system before beginning work. Inspect the sheaves for wear, misalignment, and debris before installing the new belt. Do not pry or force the belt over sheave flanges using tools that could damage the cord structure. After installation, verify belt tension and sheave alignment per the equipment manufacturer's drive specification before returning the system to service.
