The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20039573 is a BX-section cogged V-belt built for demanding power-transmission applications in HVAC, industrial, and mechanical drive systems. Constructed from Fiber Reinforced Vytracord, this Torque-Flex belt delivers consistent tensile strength and flexibility across a wide temperature range, rated from -40 degrees F to 140 degrees F. The cogged profile reduces bending resistance, which improves efficiency on smaller-diameter sheaves. At 63.0 inches outside length and 61.80 inches internal length, it fits a broad range of standard BX-section drive configurations. Licensed HVAC technicians, millwrights, and mechanical contractors are the typical installers of this belt type.
This belt is suited for use in air handlers, condenser fan drives, blower assemblies, compressor drives, and general industrial power-transmission setups where a BX-section belt is specified. The BX60 designation is the standard industry belt number. The oil-resistant construction makes it appropriate for environments where incidental exposure to petroleum-based fluids is possible. It is sold individually and is a direct fit for any drive system calling out a BX60 or equivalent BX-section cogged belt.
Designed as a direct replacement for any drive system specifying a BX60 or BX-section cogged V-belt with a 63.0-inch outside length and 61.80-inch internal length.
Belt replacement is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians, millwrights, or mechanical contractors. Always de-energize and lock out the equipment before removing the old belt or installing the new one. Do not pry or force the belt over sheave flanges; use proper belt-installation tools or adjust drive centers to relieve tension before seating the belt. After installation, verify drive alignment and tension per the equipment manufacturer's specifications before returning the unit to service.
