The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20039529 is a Section AX Torque-Flex V-belt designed for demanding power transmission applications in HVAC, industrial, and mechanical drive systems. Built with a fiber-reinforced Vytracord construction, this belt delivers superior flex fatigue resistance compared to standard wrapped belts. It carries an outside length of 92.2 inches and an internal length of 81.30 inches, placing it in the AX90 belt number designation. The cogged profile reduces bending stress and heat buildup, making it well-suited for smaller-diameter sheaves and variable-speed drives. Licensed HVAC technicians, millwrights, and mechanical contractors are the typical installers for this belt classification.
This V-belt is used in residential and commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and general industrial power transmission setups where a cogged AX-section belt is specified. The AX-section cogged design fits standard AX-profile sheaves and is a direct replacement in any application calling for an AX90 belt. Common install scenarios include blower and fan drives in air handling units, condensing units, and belt-driven compressor assemblies where reduced slippage and improved efficiency are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for any drive system specifying an AX90 Section AX cogged V-belt. Fits standard AX-profile sheaves used in HVAC blower assemblies, fan drives, and belt-driven mechanical equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical contractor. Always de-energize and lock out the equipment per NFPA 70E and applicable OSHA procedures before removing or installing drive belts. Never pry or force the belt over sheave flanges; adjust the drive center distance to allow belt installation without excessive force. After installation, verify proper belt tension and sheave alignment before returning the equipment to service.
