The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20039485 is an AX46 Torque-Flex cogged V-belt designed for demanding drive applications in HVAC, industrial, and mechanical power transmission systems. Built with Fiber Reinforced Vytracord construction, this belt delivers reliable torque transfer with reduced heat buildup thanks to its cogged profile. It measures 48.2 inches in outside length and 47.30 inches in internal length, fitting standard AX-section sheaves and drive systems. Licensed HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors install this belt type on blower assemblies, fan drives, and pump systems where consistent belt tension and oil resistance are required.
The AX46 cogged V-belt is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC blower drives, refrigeration condensing unit fan drives, and general mechanical equipment where an AX-section belt is specified. The cogged design reduces bending resistance, allowing operation on smaller sheave diameters with less flex fatigue. Its oil-resistant compound makes it appropriate for environments where incidental oil exposure is possible. Installers working on furnace air handlers, rooftop units, or evaporative coolers will find this belt a direct-fit AX-section replacement.
Designed as a direct AX-section replacement belt for drive systems specifying an AX46 belt designation. Fits standard AX-profile sheaves and pulleys on HVAC blowers, fan drives, and general power transmission equipment.
Installation of V-belts should be performed by a qualified technician with the drive system fully de-energized and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Never force a belt onto a sheave with a pry bar, as this can damage the tensile cords. Adjust sheave center distance to achieve proper belt tension before returning the drive to service, and re-check tension after the first few hours of operation. Inspect sheave grooves for wear or misalignment before installing a replacement belt.
