Product Description

The CONBRACO 77-109-46 is a 2-piece, full-port, in-line ball valve built for demanding fluid control applications in commercial and industrial piping systems. The bronze body (UNS C84400, ASTM B584) delivers corrosion resistance and structural integrity across a wide service range. Cold working pressure is rated at 600 psi, steam working pressure at 150 psi, and the valve handles temperatures up to 500 degrees F. The full-port 2-1/2 inch bore minimizes flow restriction, and a Cv of 503 confirms high flow capacity. The closed-position latch-lock lever handle prevents accidental opening, making it well suited for safety-critical shutoff service. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.

This valve is designed for in-line installation in 2-1/2 inch FNPT-threaded piping systems. Typical applications include commercial HVAC hydronic systems, industrial process lines, and plumbing distribution headers where a reliable full-bore shutoff with tamper-resistant handle control is required. The RPTFE seats and packing provide tight shutoff and low-torque operation across hot and cold liquid service. Installation Notes

Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service fluid to FNPT connections — do not overtighten, as bronze fittings can crack under excessive torque. Confirm system operating pressure and temperature do not exceed the valve ratings before returning the line to service.
