The Comtran Cable 4914 is a specialized fire alarm cable made for use in plenum spaces. This cable features an eighteen American Wire Gauge (AWG) solid bare copper conductor. It is protected by a red PVC jacket. For improved shielding, the cable includes aluminum/polyester tape along with a twenty-four AWG tinned copper drain wire. A parallel rip cord is positioned under the jacket to simplify the stripping process during installation. This cable is ideal for power-limited fire alarm circuits and communications.
