The COMNET NWK1/M is a wireless Ethernet kit designed for enterprise-grade networking applications requiring reliable outdoor or harsh-environment connectivity. Operating at up to 95 Mbps throughput, this kit delivers fast data transmission over a wireless link while carrying an IP67 ingress protection rating, meaning it is fully dust-tight and rated for temporary submersion in water. This combination makes it well-suited for industrial facilities, campus infrastructure, and surveillance or access control networks where running physical cable is impractical. Licensed network technicians and low-voltage integration contractors are the primary installers for equipment of this type.
The NWK1/M is intended for enterprise wireless access point deployments where a ruggedized, weatherproof Ethernet bridge or point-to-point wireless link is required. Typical applications include outdoor building-to-building connections, perimeter security networks, industrial automation backbones, and remote monitoring installations. The IP67-rated enclosure allows deployment in exposed environments subject to rain, dust, or washdown conditions. The kit format provides the core components needed to establish a complete wireless Ethernet segment without sourcing components separately.
Designed as an OEM-style enterprise wireless Ethernet kit for outdoor and industrial network infrastructure applications requiring IP67-rated equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage or network technician familiar with wireless Ethernet bridging and outdoor enclosure mounting practices. Power down any connected network segments before making or breaking Ethernet connections. Mounting hardware, cable entry sealing, and grounding should comply with local electrical codes and the NEC where applicable. Do not defeat the IP67 weatherproofing features by leaving cable entry ports unsealed after installation.
