The COMELIT cxbv is a BNC to VGA signal converter designed for connecting CCTV CCD cameras and DVRs to standard PC monitors or VGA-input displays. It accepts composite video signals over BNC connections and outputs a VGA signal at resolutions up to 1680x1050. The unit applies 3D video processing to produce a color-accurate, high-definition output without geometric distortion. It is installed by security technicians and low-voltage integrators as part of CCTV system deployments where a VGA monitor is the preferred or available display.
The cxbv is suited for both residential and commercial surveillance installations where existing DVR or CCD camera outputs need to feed a PC monitor or other VGA display. The converter supports standard 4:3 aspect ratio as well as widescreen 16:9 and 16:10 resolutions, making it flexible across a range of monitor types commonly found in control rooms, reception areas, and small business security setups.
Designed for use with CCTV CCD cameras and DVRs that output composite video over BNC connectors, feeding to monitors or displays with a VGA input.
Installation is typically performed by low-voltage security technicians. Power down the DVR or camera system before making or breaking BNC connections. Ensure the VGA cable is seated and latched securely at the monitor before powering on. Verify display resolution settings on the connected monitor match the converter output to avoid a blank or out-of-range signal.
