The COLUMBUS MCKINNON m666p is a painted screw pin anchor shackle designed for use in rigging, lifting, and load-securing applications. The screw pin design allows for quick connection and disconnection without tools, making it a practical choice for frequent-use rigging setups. With a 1-3/8 inch pin diameter, this shackle is built for heavy-duty applications where a secure, reliable connection point is required. It is finished with a painted exterior to provide basic corrosion resistance in standard working environments. Riggers, ironworkers, and lifting equipment technicians are the primary installers of this hardware.
The m666p anchor shackle is suited for both overhead lifting and load-securement tasks in industrial, construction, and marine-adjacent environments. Anchor shackles, sometimes called omega shackles, accept multi-leg sling loads at the bow, making them preferable over bow shackles in applications where side loading may occur. This screw pin configuration is best used in stationary or infrequently broken connections during a lift or tie-down operation.
Designed as a standard screw pin anchor shackle for use with wire rope slings, chain slings, synthetic round slings, and rigging hardware conforming to standard shackle pin sizing conventions.
Installation and use of rigging shackles should be performed by qualified riggers or lifting equipment technicians in accordance with ASME B30.26 and applicable OSHA regulations. Always verify the working load limit marking on the shackle before use and never exceed the rated capacity. Ensure the pin is fully seated and the threads are completely engaged before applying load. Do not side-load the pin or shackle bow in a manner inconsistent with the rated load direction.
