The COILHOSE PNEUMATICS RP0406S is a lead-in whip hose designed to serve as the flexible connection point between a stationary compressed-air supply line and a pneumatic tool or equipment drop. Constructed from neoprene, it absorbs vibration and reduces stress at the tool connection. The hose measures 1/4 inch inside diameter and 6 inches in length, with a working pressure rating of 200 psi. End connections are FNPT x MNPT swivel, allowing the tool-end fitting to rotate freely and prevent hose twist during use. Temperature range spans -40 to 212 degrees F, covering typical shop and field conditions. Industrial maintenance technicians and pneumatic tool operators install these as wear items at tool drops.
Lead-in whip hoses are used in industrial, commercial, and production environments where pneumatic tools are connected to overhead reels, wall drops, or hard-piped supply points. The short 6-inch length keeps the flexible section minimal, limiting the zone of movement to the immediate tool connection rather than the full supply line. The FNPT x MNPT swivel end configuration is common in manifold and drop-line setups where the hose must attach to a fixed female port while allowing the male tool-end fitting to rotate. Suitable for air-powered impact wrenches, ratchets, grinders, and similar shop tools operating within the rated pressure and temperature envelope.
Designed as an OEM-style lead-in whip hose for use with 1/4 inch compressed-air supply systems using standard NPT fittings.
Installation is performed by a qualified pneumatic systems technician or maintenance mechanic. Depressurize and lock out the air supply line before disconnecting or installing any hose assembly. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to NPT connections per standard shop practice, and verify all fittings are wrench-tight before re-pressurizing. Do not exceed the 200 psi working pressure rating, and inspect the hose regularly for cracking, kinking, or fitting wear.
