The COILHOSE PNEUMATICS PT0408-1000TC is a flexible polyurethane pneumatic tubing rated for working pressures up to 120 psi and a temperature range of -40 to 165 degrees F. With an outside diameter of 4.00 mm (approximately 0.16 inches) and an inside diameter of 2.40 mm (approximately 0.09 inches), this clear tubing is sold in 1-foot increments off a 1,000-foot coil, with a 25-foot minimum cut length. Its Shore 95A hardness gives it the rigidity needed to hold fittings securely while remaining flexible enough for routing through tight spaces. HVAC technicians, pneumatic system integrators, and industrial service professionals typically install this tubing in compressed-air control and instrumentation lines.
This tubing is suited for light- to medium-duty pneumatic applications in both residential and commercial settings. It is commonly used in compressed-air distribution, automation control circuits, and instrumentation tubing runs where flexibility, pressure resistance, and visual flow confirmation are required. The clear construction allows technicians to quickly inspect for obstructions, moisture, or contamination without removing the line. It is compatible with Coilock push-to-connect fittings and Poly-Tube fittings as specified by the manufacturer, making it straightforward to terminate without specialized tools.
Designed for use with Coilock push-to-connect fittings and Poly-Tube fittings. Verify fitting insert size matches the 4.00 mm outside diameter before ordering.
Pneumatic tubing installation is typically performed by HVAC controls technicians, automation technicians, or industrial service professionals. Depressurize and lock out the compressed-air supply before cutting, inserting, or removing any tubing section. Use a clean, square cut with a dedicated tube cutter or sharp blade to ensure a leak-free seal in push-to-connect fittings. Verify the system operating pressure does not exceed the 120 psi rated maximum under any surge or transient condition.
