The COILHOSE PNEUMATICS PP0406S is a lead-in whip hose designed to connect a compressed air supply line to a tool or downstream hose assembly. Built from polyurethane, it delivers flexibility and kink resistance at the tool connection point where movement and stress are highest. It carries a working pressure rating of 140 psi and handles temperatures from -20 degrees F to 165 degrees F, making it suitable for both indoor shop environments and light outdoor service applications. The 1/4 inch inside diameter and 6 inch length make it a short, high-flex transition piece between a stationary air drop and a portable tool. MNPT Swivel fittings on both ends allow rotation without twisting the hose body.
This whip hose is used in pneumatic tool setups where a rigid air line terminates at a fixed point and a short flexible section is needed to reduce stress on the tool inlet. Typical applications include assembly lines, automotive service bays, industrial maintenance shops, and general compressed air distribution systems. Lead-in whip hoses are installed by pneumatic technicians or maintenance mechanics as part of a compressed air distribution system. Depressurize and bleed the air line completely before disconnecting or installing any hose assembly. Apply thread sealant appropriate for pneumatic service to MNPT connections and tighten to hand-tight plus the appropriate turns per fitting manufacturer guidance. Inspect the hose and swivel fittings for leaks after pressurizing the system.
