The COILHOSE PNEUMATICS 8824D is a heavy-duty compressed air filter designed to remove particulate contamination from pneumatic supply lines. Built around a sintered bronze filter element with a 40-micron rating, it traps debris and protects downstream components such as regulators, lubricators, valves, and actuators. The polycarbonate bowl holds up to 8 ounces and features an automatic drain that continuously purges accumulated moisture and condensate without manual intervention. Port size is 1/2 inch NPT, making it a direct fit for standard industrial and commercial pneumatic piping. Typical installers include industrial maintenance technicians, pipefitters, and commercial HVAC mechanics working on compressed air distribution systems.
The 8824D is suited for use in plant air systems, production line pneumatic circuits, and compressor room distribution headers where consistent air quality is required. Its heavy-duty construction and automatic drain make it appropriate for continuous-duty installations where manual bowl service is impractical. The 1/2 inch NPT end connections integrate directly into standard threaded iron or steel compressed air piping without adapters. At 7 inches in height, it fits within typical filter-regulator-lubricator assembly configurations in equipment enclosures or wall-mounted manifold banks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation filter for industrial and commercial compressed air systems with 1/2 inch NPT threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or industrial maintenance technician. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air supply before removing or installing any inline filter. The filter should be mounted vertically with the bowl oriented downward to allow proper condensate drainage and automatic drain operation. Verify all NPT threaded joints are sealed with appropriate thread sealant and pressure-tested before returning the system to service.
