The COILHOSE PNEUMATICS 8822M is a heavy-duty compressed air filter designed to remove particulate contamination from pneumatic lines. Built around a sintered bronze filter element with a 40-micron rating, it traps debris before it reaches downstream tools, valves, and actuators. The cast aluminum body and aluminum bowl handle the mechanical demands of industrial and shop compressed air systems. A built-in sight glass lets technicians check bowl fill level without removing the bowl. Bowl capacity is 4 oz, and the manual drain allows controlled purging of collected liquid and debris. Pneumatic technicians, pipefitters, and maintenance mechanics install this unit as part of a filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) setup or as a standalone inline filter.
The 8822M is suited for both light industrial and heavy shop-duty applications where clean, dry air is critical to tool performance and equipment longevity. The 1/4 inch NPT end connections make it compatible with standard compressed air piping and hose fittings common in automotive, manufacturing, and general maintenance environments. At 5 inches in height, it fits standard in-line mounting locations without requiring significant clearance modifications. This filter is appropriate for any compressed air circuit where particulate control at the 40-micron level is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style inline compressed air filter for pneumatic systems using 1/4 inch NPT connections. Part of the COILHOSE PNEUMATICS Series 88 filter lineup.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pneumatic technician or pipefitter. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air supply completely before installing or servicing this filter. Mount the unit vertically with the bowl facing downward to allow proper condensate collection and drainage. Verify all NPT thread connections are sealed with appropriate thread sealant and leak-tested before returning the system to service.
