The CODA RESOURCES 507057 is a schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe nipple sized at 1 inch nominal diameter by 8 inches in length, measured thread to thread. It is manufactured from steel and finished in a hot-dip zinc galvanizing process for corrosion resistance. The nipple ships pre-cut and pre-threaded with standard IPS threads. It carries NSF 61 certification, is lead-free, and meets ASTM and ASME compliance standards. Each unit is hydrostatically tested before leaving the factory. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting in potable water lines, compressed air systems, and decorative pipe assemblies.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a short, pre-threaded steel section is needed between fittings, valves, or fixtures. Common uses include potable water distribution, air supply lines, and industrial-style pipe decor installations. Standard IPS threading allows direct connection to any standard threaded pipe fittings, valves, or couplings without adapters. The 8-inch length makes it a practical close-to-medium run nipple for tight or moderate spacing between connection points.
Designed as a standard IPS-threaded schedule 40 galvanized steel nipple compatible with any threaded pipe fittings, couplings, elbows, or valves that accept standard IPS thread patterns in 1 inch nominal pipe size.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Apply pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly to ensure a leak-free joint. Do not overtighten threaded connections, as this can crack fittings or deform threads. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before removing or installing any threaded pipe section.
