The CODA RESOURCES 507055 is a schedule 40 galvanized steel close nipple designed for threaded pipe assemblies in water, air, and decorative piping applications. Pre-cut to 6 inches thread-to-thread with a 1-inch nominal diameter, it arrives ready to install without additional cutting or threading. The pipe is hot-dip galvanized in a zinc bath for corrosion resistance. It carries NSF 61 certification and is lead-free, making it suitable for potable water systems where code compliance is required. Every unit has been hydrostatically tested and is manufactured to ASTM and ASME standards. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and contractors are the primary installers.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, compressed air lines, and industrial pipe decor projects. Standard IPS threads allow direct connection to fittings, valves, and other threaded pipe components. At 1-inch nominal diameter, it fits common pipe runs where moderate flow capacity is needed. Its hot-dip galvanized finish holds up in exposed and semi-exposed environments. The 6-inch length covers short-run connections between fittings where a standard close or hex nipple would be too short.

Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly — do not overtighten, as schedule 40 steel threads can crack fittings if excessive force is used.
