The CODA RESOURCES 507007 is a schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe nipple measuring 1/2 inch in diameter and 6 inches in length, thread to thread. It is pre-cut and factory-threaded with standard IPS threads, making it ready to install without additional preparation. The pipe is galvanized in a hot zinc bath for corrosion resistance. It carries NSF 61 certification, is certified lead-free, and meets ASTM and ASME standards. Each nipple is hydrostatically tested before leaving the factory. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in potable water, air, and general fluid conveyance applications within applicable code requirements.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems where a short-run threaded connection is needed. Common applications include water supply lines, compressed air lines, and industrial pipe decor installations. The 1/2-inch nominal diameter fits standard IPS-threaded fittings, valves, and couplings. Because measurements are taken thread to thread, no additional allowance is needed when calculating rough-in dimensions. It is appropriate for any application that falls within local plumbing code and is compatible with the schedule 40 wall thickness specification.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 1/2-inch IPS-threaded plumbing components including couplings, elbows, tees, valves, and flanges used in schedule 40 piping systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water or air supply and depressurize the line before making or breaking any threaded connection. Apply a code-approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten threaded connections, as this can crack fittings or damage threads.
