The CODA RESOURCES 507000 is a schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe nipple designed for use in threaded piping systems across a wide range of trade applications. Measuring 0.5 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches in length (thread to thread), it is manufactured from hot-dip galvanized steel for corrosion resistance in wet and exposed environments. The nipple is pre-cut, factory-threaded with standard IPS threads, and hydrostatically tested before leaving the factory. It carries NSF 61 certification, is lead-free, and meets ASTM and ASME compliance standards. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians are the primary installers of this fitting.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial piping systems carrying water, gas, air, and LP (liquid propane) where code permits galvanized steel fittings. Standard IPS threading makes it compatible with other threaded pipe fittings and valves without adapters. The 0.5-inch by 2.5-inch size fills short-run connections and close-coupled fittings in tight spaces. It also sees use in decorative industrial pipe applications where the galvanized finish is part of the aesthetic.
Designed for use with standard IPS-threaded fittings, valves, and couplings in water, gas, air, and LP piping systems where galvanized schedule 40 steel pipe is code-approved.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC requirements for gas applications. Shut off water or gas supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service medium before making up the joint. Do not over-tighten threaded connections; use a pipe wrench and back-wrench the adjacent fitting to avoid stressing downstream joints.
