The CODA RESOURCES 506309 is a galvanized malleable iron pipe bushing designed to reduce a 1-inch female fitting down to a 3/4-inch male pipe connection. This type of hex or flush bushing is a standard threaded reducer used in plumbing, water distribution, and light structural or decorative pipe assembly work. At 1.47 inches in length and 1.05 inches in height, it is a compact fitting that installs quickly into any compatible threaded port. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance suited for water service applications and exposed installations. Plumbers and pipefitters use this bushing wherever a pipe size transition is needed without adding a full coupling or union.
This bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications involving threaded iron pipe systems. It is commonly used in water supply lines, utility connections, and pipe furniture or decorative pipe framework projects. The 1-inch to 3/4-inch reduction is one of the most common size transitions in residential plumbing rough-in work. The malleable iron construction handles typical service pressures found in standard water distribution systems.
Designed as a standard threaded reducer bushing compatible with 1-inch female NPT fittings accepting a 3/4-inch male NPT connection in threaded iron pipe systems.
Installation requires a pipe wrench and appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape applied to the male threads before assembly. Shut off water supply and depressurize the line before installing or removing any threaded fitting. Follow local plumbing code requirements, including applicable IPC provisions, for fitting material and joint compound selection. Do not overtighten malleable iron fittings, as the material can crack under excessive torque.
