The CLEVELAND C73461 is a jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 33, with a decimal diameter of 0.1130 inches. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, the bit features a 118-degree split point and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces walking at entry and lowers thrust force during drilling. The right-hand spiral flute design promotes efficient chip evacuation in a wide range of materials. At 2-5/8 inches overall length with a 1-1/2-inch flute, this bit fits the standard jobber-length profile used across most bench-top and handheld drilling applications. Meets NAS 907 Type A specification for heavy-duty drill bit performance.
This bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling in metalworking environments. Its primary workpiece material rating is aluminum, though the HSS construction and NAS 907 compliance make it appropriate for general-purpose drilling in soft metals, plastics, and composite materials. Typical install scenarios include electrical panel fabrication, HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing bracket assembly, and light manufacturing. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard drill chucks without adapters. The bit is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 12 units, making it practical for shop-stock replenishment.
Designed for use in any standard drill chuck accepting a 0.1130-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material rating is aluminum; also suitable for soft metals, plastics, and similar materials consistent with HSS tooling capabilities.
Install this bit into a keyed or keyless drill chuck and tighten securely before operation. Secure the workpiece with appropriate clamping or fixturing to prevent rotation during drilling. Use cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling metals to extend tool life and maintain dimensional accuracy. Replace the bit if the cutting edges show visible wear, chipping, or the bore diameter drifts outside tolerance.
