The CLEVELAND C72135 is a jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size 35, with a decimal diameter of 0.1100 inches. Manufactured from high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it features a 118-degree standard point angle and a spiral, regular-helix flute design. The web-thinned, tapered web construction reduces entry resistance and improves chip evacuation on light-to-moderate drilling tasks. With a straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 0.1100 inches and an overall length of 2-5/8 inches, it fits standard drill chucks and drill presses without adapters. This is a general-purpose bit suited to licensed tradespeople and maintenance professionals drilling in mild steel, aluminum, plastics, and similar materials.
The C72135 fits general-purpose drilling applications in residential and commercial trade work. Its 1-1/2-inch flute length provides adequate chip clearance for shallow to moderate depth holes in the wire size 35 range. Right-hand cutting direction and a 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio make it a standard fit for hand drills and benchtop drill presses. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general maintenance techs commonly use wire-gauge drill bits in this size range for pilot holes, conduit entry points, and bracket mounting.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber-length drill bit in Series 2002G, compatible with any standard drill chuck or drill press that accepts a 0.1100-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Secure the shank fully in the drill chuck before operation and verify chuck key is removed prior to powering the tool. Use cutting fluid on ferrous metals to extend bit life and improve hole quality. Replace the bit if the cutting edges show visible wear or if the point angle is compromised, as a dull bit increases thrust force and can damage workpieces. Dispose of worn HSS tooling in accordance with local metal recycling guidelines.
