The CLEVELAND C72119 is a jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size No. 19, measuring 0.1660 inches in diameter. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, this bit is designed for general-purpose drilling across a wide range of materials including mild steel, aluminum, wood, and plastics. It features a standard 118-degree split point with a web-thinned, tapered web for improved centering and reduced thrust. The spiral flute geometry is regular-helix with a 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio, promoting efficient chip evacuation. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians rely on this bit for everyday production and repair drilling operations.
The C72119 is suited for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power drills where a straight-cylindrical shank is compatible. With an overall length of 3.25 inches and a flute length of 2.125 inches, it fits standard drill chucks without modification. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drilling setups. This bit is part of the Cleveland 2002G Series, which targets general-purpose shop and field applications. It is sold individually but requires a minimum order quantity of 12 units.
Designed as an OEM-style general-purpose jobber drill bit compatible with any drill press, CNC machine, or power tool chuck that accepts a straight-cylindrical shank at 0.1660 inches diameter. Conforms to ASME B94.11M and DIN 338 dimensional standards.
Installation and use is performed by machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals operating drill presses or handheld power equipment. Ensure the chuck is fully tightened and the workpiece is securely clamped before drilling. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for metal applications to extend bit life and improve hole quality. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and replace the bit if the point shows signs of dulling or damage.
