The CLEVELAND C71222 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metal, wood, and similar materials. Built from high speed steel with an oxide coating, it measures 2.1 mm (0.0827 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 1.929 inches. The 118-degree standard point angle and web-thinned tip allow for clean entry and reduced feed force. The regular spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation during through-hole drilling. This bit is suited for use in hand drills, drill presses, and CNC machines across a wide range of trade and light industrial applications.
The C71222 is a general-purpose bit appropriate for electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and other trade professionals who need a reliable small-diameter bit for pilot holes, conduit knockout prep, and general metalwork. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adapters. The right-hand cut and two-flute spiral configuration make it compatible with conventional forward-rotation drilling equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style general-purpose jobber drill bit conforming to DIN 338 and ASME B94.11M, compatible with standard drill chucks accepting a 0.0827-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Secure the workpiece before drilling to prevent movement and ensure accurate hole placement. Power down and disconnect any equipment before drilling into live panels or pressurized systems. Use appropriate cutting fluid when drilling hardened or stainless steel to extend bit life. Always wear eye protection in compliance with applicable job-site safety requirements.
