The CLEVELAND C70365 is a 29-piece cobalt jobber length drill bit set built for metalworking and heavy-duty drilling applications. Each bit in this Series 2213 set features a 135-degree split-point tip that reduces walking on contact and cuts faster than conventional 118-degree points. The cobalt construction provides heat resistance that keeps edges sharp when drilling hardened steel, stainless, and other tough alloys. Bits have a gold finish and straight shanks for use in standard drill chucks. Size range runs from 1/16 inch to 1/2 inch in 1/64-inch step increments, covering the most common fractional sizes in one case. The set meets NAS 907 specification and is intended for right-hand cutting. Total weight is 3.3 pounds.
This set is suited for professional metalworking trades including machinists, pipefitters, ironworkers, and maintenance mechanics who need a full fractional drill index on the job. The 29-bit fractional range makes it a practical everyday drill index for fabrication shops, mechanical rooms, and field service work. All 29 bits are jobber length, providing the balance of reach and rigidity most needed in general-purpose metal drilling tasks. The included case keeps bits organized and protected between uses.
Designed as a general-purpose fractional drill index for use in standard 3-jaw drill chucks, drill presses, and hand drills that accept straight-shank bits up to 1/2 inch. Suitable for metalworking and multipurpose drilling applications per the NAS 907 specification.
Install bits in a properly rated drill press or hand drill with a chuck capacity matching the shank diameter being used. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and verify chuck key is removed. Use appropriate cutting fluid when drilling hardened steel or stainless to extend bit life. Right-hand cutting direction only — do not run in reverse under load.
