The CLEVELAND C70132 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for heavy-duty drilling in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it carries a gold oxide coating that extends tool life by reducing heat buildup during high-speed cutting. The 135-degree split point geometry reduces walking on entry and lowers thrust force, making it well suited for production drilling where precision and repeatability matter. With an overall length of 5.94 inches and a 2-flute spiral flute design, this bit moves chips efficiently and maintains stability through the cut. It meets NAS 907 Type J standards and is classified as a heavy-duty grade drill bit.
This drill bit is intended for right-hand cutting in materials such as aluminum and other non-ferrous and ferrous metals common in aerospace, maintenance, and general machining environments. The straight-cylindrical shank with a diameter of 0.4921 inches seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces cutting resistance on entry, which is especially useful in production or repetitive-hole operations. It is sized at 12.5 mm (0.4921 inches decimal) and falls within the 0.4000 to 0.5000 inch size range of the Series 2213 lineup.
Designed as a Series 2213 jobber-length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.4921-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is aluminum, with suitability for other non-ferrous and ferrous metals in heavy-duty machining applications.
Installation and use should be performed by machinists or qualified trade professionals familiar with drill press, CNC, or hand-held drilling equipment. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before cutting into workpiece material. Do not exceed the recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material and drill diameter. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use and replace when wear affects hole quality or increases thrust force.
