The CLEVELAND C58452 is a spiral flute tap designed for blind hole threading in a range of metalworking applications. It cuts a 1/2-13 UNC internal thread using three right-hand flutes set at a 52-degree helix angle, which efficiently evacuates chips upward and out of the hole during the tapping operation. The tap is manufactured from high speed steel and treated with an oxide finish to reduce friction and improve wear resistance. With a 2B class of fit and H3 thread limit, it produces threads suited to standard fastener assembly tolerances.
