The CLEVELAND C58449 is a spiral flute bottoming tap designed for cutting internal threads in blind holes where the thread must run close to the bottom of the bore. Built from high speed steel with an oxide finish, it cuts 3/8-16 UNC threads to a 2B class of fit with a right-hand thread direction. The 52-degree helix angle and fast flute style help evacuate chips up and out of the hole, which is critical when threading blind holes in aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and steel.
