The CLEVELAND C57192 is a spiral point tap designed for through-hole threading in metal workpieces. It cuts a 7/16-14 UNC thread profile using three flutes and a plug chamfer to progressively engage the material. The spiral point geometry pushes chips forward ahead of the tap, making it well-suited for production through-hole applications where chip evacuation is critical. Manufactured from high speed steel (HSS) with a TiCN coating, it carries an H3 thread limit and a Class 2B fit, providing the tolerance control required for standard fastener clearances in commercial and industrial machining work. Installation is performed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.

This tap is intended for through-hole threading operations in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron.
