The CLEVELAND C56700 is a standard NPT pipe tap designed for cutting internal tapered pipe threads in ferrous and alloy materials. Built from high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this tap delivers improved wear resistance and longer service life compared to uncoated HSS taps. It cuts a 1/16-27 NPT thread with 4 flutes and a regular hook, making it well suited for threading small-diameter pipe ports in cast iron, stainless steel, and carbon steel workpieces. The overall length is 2.125 inches with a thread length of 0.6875 inches.
