The CLEVELAND C46219 is a single-end high speed steel countersink designed for deburring, chamfering, and countersinking operations in metalworking applications. It features a 5/8 inch head diameter with a 100-degree included angle and four flutes for smooth, efficient material removal. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3/8 inch in diameter, and the overall length is 2.094 inches. A black oxide coating provides moderate corrosion resistance and reduces friction during cutting. Right-hand cutting geometry suits standard drill press and hand-drill setups. Licensed machinists and tool and die professionals rely on this type of countersink for precise seat preparation ahead of flat-head fastener installation.
This countersink is suited for use on alloy tool steel and cast iron workpieces. It is a solid choice for job shop, maintenance, and light manufacturing environments where accurate countersink geometry is required. The single-end design with no pilot means the operator guides the tool freehand or with a drill guide for proper centering. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both bench-drill and hand-held drill applications where a 3/8 inch shank is compatible with the chuck.
Designed for countersinking operations in alloy tool steel and cast iron. Compatible with any drill press, CNC drill, or hand drill equipped with a 3/8 inch or larger chuck accepting a straight-cylindrical shank.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists, tool and die workers, or maintenance technicians using a drill press, mill, or hand drill. Power down the machine and secure the workpiece before mounting or removing the countersink from the chuck. Use appropriate cutting fluid for extended tool life when working in harder steels. Do not exceed the recommended RPM range for the workpiece material and tool diameter as excessive speed will accelerate edge wear.
