The CLEVELAND C46185 is a single-end, straight-shank countersink designed for deburring and seat preparation in metalworking applications. Manufactured from high speed steel with an oxide finish, it cuts a 120-degree included angle at 1 inch head diameter. The three-flute geometry balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality, making it well suited for production and maintenance work in carbon steel and cast iron. A right-hand cutting direction and straight cylindrical shank provide straightforward setup in standard drill press or CNC spindles. No pilot is included, and the tool is offered as a head-and-shank unit rather than a head-only style.
This countersink is intended for use on carbon steel and cast iron workpieces in industrial, maintenance, and fabrication environments. Typical applications include chamfering drilled holes for fastener seating, deburring hole edges, and preparing countersunk screw seats. The 0.5 inch shank diameter fits standard collets, drill chucks, and quick-change tooling systems commonly found in machine shops, maintenance departments, and metalworking trade environments. It is sold as a single unit.
