The CLEVELAND C43235 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from Powdered Metal Cobalt (HSS-E-PM) at M42 material grade, it delivers higher heat and wear resistance compared to standard high-speed steel. The 1-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1-inch length of cut and a coarse pitch flute geometry across 5 flutes, producing the characteristic chip-breaking action that reduces cutting forces and heat buildup during heavy roughing passes. The bright, uncoated finish is suitable for a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill in vertical and horizontal milling machines for roughing operations prior to finishing passes.
This end mill is suited for roughing applications in job shops, production machining environments, and maintenance operations. The coarse pitch design excels at removing large amounts of material quickly while minimizing chatter. With a 1-inch shank diameter matching the cutting diameter and a 3.5-inch overall length, it fits standard ER and straight-bore toolholders in that size range. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard configurations compatible with conventional milling machine spindles. The Series PMRC designation places this tool in a line engineered specifically for heavy-duty roughing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use roughing end mill for standard milling operations requiring a 1-inch diameter, 1-inch shank, single-end HSS-E-PM tool in PMRC series configurations.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following shop safety procedures. Power down and lock out the milling machine spindle before installing or removing any end mill. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the correct insertion depth. Non-centercutting geometry on this tool means it is not suitable for plunge cuts — use a ramping or helical entry strategy when beginning a cut.
