Manufactured from high speed steel (HSS) with a bright uncoated finish, it measures 0.5 inches in cutting diameter with a 1.25-inch length of cut and a 3.25-inch overall length. The 37-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This tool is center-cutting, allowing it to plunge directly into a workpiece as well as perform conventional peripheral and slot milling. The C41853 is suited for milling non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar alloys. Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully powered down and the machine locked out per applicable safety procedures. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for set screw engagement.
